Our last day in France, we visited Palais Versaille. It was an overcast and chilly afternoon, but something about the fall colors and stillness of the gardens gave me a sense of all the history this place holds. Versaille is obviously a very high tourist destination, and I wonder how different it must be during the summertime. There were a good number of tourists when I was there, but I can only imagine it must triple during peak seasons. It was nice to find some spots in the garden where nobody was around and imagine being lost in nature for hours.
