MARCH IN PORTLAND IS PRETTY CHILL

Last March I went to Portland for a few days to visit my friend. I had been once before in October, but March was beautiful. Blossoms were in bloom and the air was so fresh. We even had 1.5 days of sunshine, just in time for the lovely Portland Saturday Market, which happens to be on Sundays as well. On the cold days we had hot chocolate at Powell's Bookstore, a Portland gem which offers used books you didn't even know existed! We dined at delicious Portland restaurants like Le Bistro Montage and of course had to gorge ourselves on Voodoo Doughnuts. One day we visited the historic Pittock Mansion which also offers a view of Mount Hood and the city. Beautiful and serene!

Stumptown Hot Chocolate at Powell's Books on Hawthorne is delicious and fancy!

Below is my tribute to photographer Michael Eastman. He did an even better version in his book, Vanishing America. This is a crepe place that was closed when we went, but has a wonderful name. Hopefully next time!
